With a packed house in front of her and a rockin’ band behind her, Sarah Swain’s live performances have become must see events up and down Cape Cod. With a unique mixture of well crafted originals and white-hot rockabilly, Sarah and her band, The Oh Boys!, draw from timeless influences to create a fresh sound that defies classification.
More than a singer/songwriter, Sarah sets herself apart by leaving in the rough edges – discovering country and roots music without throwing away her Replacements albums. This honesty and enthusiasm is captured best in her live performances. Sarah and the Oh Boys!, have been playing together since 2009 and never fail to get the crowd whipped into a frenzy. The Oh Boys! feature slide guitar virtuoso Jerry Smith, “Rocket” Ron Siegel on upright bass and Liam Hogg on drums. Her original set mixes in old Wanda Jackson and other rockabilly classics as well as some lost garage rock nuggets – rock/americana with a hint of country and an energy that makes it all very real.
